Switch My Bank
Wondering how to switch banks? It doesn’t have to be a headache. At Bank5 Connect, our Switch My Bank service allows you to change your direct deposit and recurring online payments to your Bank5 Connect account.
Switching Your Bank:
- To start, you'll need to open a Bank5 Connect checking or savings account if you don't already have one.
- You’ll receive Online Banking credentials after the account has been funded. You can then access your account via Online Banking or the Bank5 Connect mobile app.
- Once logged into your account, select Switch My Bank from the “Additional Services” menu in Online Banking, or from the “More” menu in the Bank5 Connect mobile app.
Switching Your Direct Deposit:
Change your direct deposit to your Bank5 Connect account. No need to contact your employer or your old bank. With Switch My Bank you can change your direct deposit in minutes!
- Access Switch My Bank through the "Additional Services" menu in Online Banking or the "More" menu in the Bank5 Connect mobile app. Then choose "Switch Direct Deposits".
- Search for and select your employer. Don't worry if your employer isn't listed, you can easily add their information if necessary.
- Select which Bank5 Connect account you would like your deposit to go to. If desired, you can split your deposit into multiple accounts.
- Enter some information from your paystub.
- Review and submit your switch!
Switching Your Recurring Payments:
Have a lot of recurring payments set up? Don’t let that force you to stay with a mediocre bank. With Switch My Bank you can update all of your existing electronic payments to your Bank5 Connect account or debit card.
- Access Switch My Bank through the "Additional Services" menu in Online Banking or the "More" menu in the Bank5 Connect mobile app. Then choose either "Switch Recurring Payments" or "Switch Cards".
- Search for and select the merchant you would like to update your payment method with.
- Select which Bank5 Connect account or which Bank5 Connect debit card you would like to use for this merchant moving forward.
- Enter the requested information to verify ownership of the designated merchant account.
- Review and submit your switch!
- Repeat as necessary to switch your additional merchants.
